Ocean's Baby Dedication

We had Ocean's baby dedication at my church the day after her birthday. It was a really nice ceremony where friends and family joined in on praying for Ocean and her spiritual journey which lies ahead. Enjoy the pictures!!

Ocean's 1st Birthday!!

Wow... hard to believe it's been a whole year!! We just celebrated Ocean's first birthday. She woke up knowing there was something different about the day. Ocean came downstairs and right away noticed her first gift (we put it out while she was sleeping). It was a sesame street car which she can sit on and push around with her feet from her Aunt Carrie. She loves it. Later that afternoon we had a birthday party with family and friends. Ocean had so much fun. She is so social... the more people the better as far as Ocean is concerned. When it came time for her birthday cake... Ocean was not too happy about everyone wanting her to smash her cake. She did not want to get her hands dirty. Pretty funny to watch!! Over all it has been a pretty amazing first year. Roan and I have really enjoyed watching her grow and learn new things daily.

Girls trip to Florida

Well this post is coming a bit late... but better late than never I guess. In August Carrie, Megan, my mom, Ocean and I went to Clearwater, Fl to visist my grandma for a week. We had so much fun. It was really great to see Ocean loving every minute of being the center of attention with her Aunts, Nana, and great g'ma. She loved all the constant playtime. Ocean had so many toys there that it made us all laugh... we felt as though the condo had turned into a giant packnplay for the week. This was Ocean's first trip to the beach. She was not sure what to think of the sand and the cold water, however, she loved floating in the pool in her inflatable car. We all celebrated Megan's birthday midweek at a great sea food restaurant over looking the water. The week came to an end much too quickly... however, it was filled with lots of great memories. Ocean's 10 Months Old

I attached a link of some updated photos of Ocean from the past few months. We have been having so much fun with her this summer. She took her first step July 7. It was pretty cool, Roan and I both got to see her take her first step. She is now cruizin around all over the place. She is going to be taking her first trip to the beach in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to watching her play in the sand. Hopefully she doesn't decide it is her new favorite snack. (She is at the age where everything she finds goes straight to the mouth.)

Recent Photos of Ocean

Ocean has had a week full of accomplishments:
-She now gets around a room by rolling. She is determined to learn how to crawl. She has the leg part down... but instead of using her arms to crawl she is trying to use her nose. Doesn't work too well ... just ends in frustration for her and a little rug burn on the tip of her nose.

-She can now feed herself. She holds her own bottle

-She started sleeping through the night... yeah!!!

Playdate with Avery & Audrey

Ocean had a playdate with Avery & Audrey today. My friend Jen had sweet little Audrey about two and a half weeks ago and Audrey's cousin Avery was born the beginning of December. It is going to be so much fun watching the 3 little girls grow and see their personalities start to shine. I am sure this is the first of many more playdates to come.

Ocean is 5 months old today!!! So hard to believe!!! What an amazing 5 months we have had!!!

Ocean discovered this week that she has feet. They are her new favorite toy!!
